Session 1 · Zechariah 1–5
Night visions call Zion home and cleanse the priest.
- Horses among the myrtles report a world at rest, and the LORD promises to return to Jerusalem with mercy while horns of the nations are terrified.
- A man measures Jerusalem, and God says he will be a wall of fire around her and the glory in her midst.
- Joshua the high priest stands in filthy garments before the Accuser, and the LORD reclothes him and promises his servant the Branch.
- A lampstand and two olive trees show Zerubbabel that the house will be finished not by might or power but by the Spirit of the LORD.
- A flying scroll curses theft and false swearing, and a woman sealed in a basket is carried away to the land of Shinar.
Session 2 · Zechariah 6–10
A priestly crown, true justice, and a humble king.
- Four chariots patrol the earth, and a crown is set for the Branch, who will build the temple and sit as priest upon his throne.
- Men ask about fasting, and God answers that he wanted justice, mercy, and care for the widow rather than self-focused rites.
- The LORD of hosts is jealous for Zion, old and young will fill the streets, and fasts will become feasts of truth and peace.
- A king comes to Zion humble and riding on a donkey, speaking peace to the nations, and his dominion runs from sea to sea.
- The people are told to ask rain from the LORD, not from diviners, and he promises to gather and strengthen the house of Judah.
Session 3 · Zechariah 11–14
A shepherd is priced, pierced, and still the king.
- The prophet shepherds a flock doomed to slaughter, breaks the staffs Favor and Union, and is paid thirty pieces of silver.
- Jerusalem becomes a cup of staggering to the nations, and the house of David mourns for one they have pierced as for an only son.
- A fountain is opened for sin, idols and false prophets are cut off, and the sword awakes against the shepherd so the sheep are scattered.
- The LORD's feet stand on the Mount of Olives, living waters flow, and he is king over all the earth while the survivors worship him as holy.
