Session 1 · Malachi 1–4
A messenger prepares, and the sun of righteousness rises.
- The LORD says he has loved Jacob, and he rebukes priests who offer blind and lame sacrifices while calling his table contemptible.
- A covenant with Levi is remembered, and Judah is warned that God rejects offerings covered by treachery against the wife of one's youth.
- The Lord whom they seek will suddenly come to his temple, preceded by a messenger, and he will refine the sons of Levi like fire.
- The day comes burning like a furnace, the sun of righteousness rises with healing, and Elijah is sent before the great day of the LORD.
