Session 1 · Habakkuk 1–3
How long, a just vision, and joy without figs.
- Habakkuk asks how long violence goes unanswered, and the LORD says he is raising the Chaldeans, a bitter nation, as his instrument.
- The prophet waits on the watchtower, is told the righteous shall live by faith, and hears woes against the proud plunderer.
- A prayer recalls God's coming in splendor, and Habakkuk resolves to rejoice in the LORD even when the fig tree does not blossom.
