Session 1 · Ephesians 1–5
One new man, seated with Christ, walking in love.
- God has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing, and Paul prays that they would know the hope of His calling and the church as Christ's body.
- Once dead in trespasses, they are saved by grace through faith, and Jew and Gentile are made one new man in a holy temple.
- The mystery hidden for ages is that Gentiles are fellow heirs, and Paul prays that Christ would dwell in their hearts by faith.
- They are to walk worthy of their calling, keep the unity of the Spirit, and put off the old self so as to put on the new.
- Imitators of God walk in love and light, are filled with the Spirit, and marriage is patterned on Christ and the church.
Session 2 · Ephesians 6
Children, masters, and the armor of God.
- Children and fathers, slaves and masters, are addressed in the Lord, and the church is told to put on the whole armor of God and pray.
